Also, humans have this tendency to rush to kill a snake as soon as they spot one. The author tries to tell us that such thinking is not good and is harmful to the snake. Message The poem conveys the message that all creatures of nature are important for maintaining the ecological balance. Even snakes that are generally regarded as ugly and dangerous should not be killed. All animals need to be treated in a kind and sympathetic manner.
