Poem-6 No Men are Foreign by James Kirkup     Introduction of the Poet James Falconer Kirkup (April 23, 1918-May 10, 2009) was a prolific English poet, writer and translator: He wrote over 30 books (including autobiographies, novels and plays), many dozen collections of poetry, six volumes of autobiography, over a thousand short pieces in joumals and periodicals, and hundreds of monographs of original work and translations His first book of poetry was The Drowned Sailor which was published in 1947. He became the first resident university poet in the United Kingdom. He was felicitated with the Japan PE.N. Club Prize for Poetry in 1965. Poem-3 Rain on the Roof by -Coates Kinney        A Brief Note On  Poet Coates Kinney (November 24, 1826 - January 25, 1904) was an American poet, lawyer, politician and journalist. He is considered a wistful and skillful poet of the nineteenth century. His verses were collected in Keeuka and Other Poems and Lyrics of the Ideal and the Real. One of his most famous poems, "The Rain on the Roof' is said to have established Coates Kinney as a popular poet. A Brief Summary of the Poem The present poem describes a scene of nature and the effects it has on human mind. The poem opens with dark clouds hovering all over the sky.
