A Brief Summary Lost Spring (“ Stories of stolen Childhood”) By Anees Jung “ Lost Spring” describes the pitiable condition of poor children who have been forced to skip the joy of childhood due to the socio-economic condition that spreads in this man-made world. These children are deprived from the opportunity of schooling and forced into labor early in life. Saheb -e -Alam Full name of Saheb is Saheb-e- Alam which means lord of the universe. There is a deep irony in his name.He is a poor ragpicker of Seemapuri who came from Bangladesh (Dhaka) 1971.Around ten thousand children working as ragpickers.
