Kothmangalam Subbu was born in a Brahmin family .Subbu had the ability to look cheerful at all times even after having his film flop.His sense of loyalty made him turn his entire creativity to his principals advantage: Film-making was quite easy with Subbu around.He was literary amazing poet and novelist. He was an amazing actor.Subbu is described as a many-sided genius,Subbu worked in the Story Department at Gemini Studios but spent most of his time with his boss.he was a great storyteller, a skilled actor, and a problem solver in filmmaking,if anyone who had given direction and definition to Gemini Studio it was Kothmangalam Subbu.He gave valid suggestions to the producers.He wrote about 120 radio plays for All India Radio.He wrote the cult classic Tamil novel Thillana Mohanambal and was awarded the Padma Shri.he never aspired to the lead roles,but side roles he performed better than the supposed main players.he was feeding and

supporting so many of friends and relatives yet had enemies.In short we can say that Kothmangalam Subbu was an amazing actor and skilled writer.
