Ans.DRAMA Drama is a Greek word.Drama means action.It is script read on action and heard by audience. There is written dialogue and stage action.
There is emotions and feelings in drama. Drama highlights the need of minor problem or events present in society.
Drama is a play for theatre, radio and television. It is played in the presence of audience.

Ans.SOLILOQUY. Soliloquy is the act of speaking one's thought aloud to oneself, when there is nobody on the stage. It may be called self revelation. Soliloquy readers learn, what step the hero or actor is going to take. This soliloquy reveals to us further plan. It reveals the hidden device of villain.It helps the audience to know the plot of the play.Iago, Hamlet and Macbeth express their feelings through soliloquy.

Ans. TRAGEDY-A tragedy is a composition of serious and sorrowful Character.
According to Aristotle,it arouse emotions of pity and fear to purge us these fear and similar emotions.
Tragedy is an event causing great suffering, destruction and distress. Such a serious accident, a crime or natural disaster.

Ans. FUNCTION OF TRAGEDY-The main function of Tragedy is to arise the feelings and pity among the audience. A hero suffers a downfall.The sight of his suffering effect the feelings of audience. We feel pity and fear for hero who meets his downfall.

1-ROMAN TRAGEDY-Greek Tragedy had reached in Rome almost in 364BC. But early Roman's plays were only imitation.
2- The Renaissance- in the late 15th century start in Italy,then Rome ,then France, then Spain and at last in England in 1560.
3-ELIZABETHAN TRAGEDY.
Elizabethan tragedy is based on classical tragedy.Elizabeth believed that the tragedy is the story of a person from high rank to downfall.

Ans. Gothic Novel. Gothic novel is an English genre of fiction.It was popular in 18 th and 19th century.
Gothic Novel is the novel of horror and mystery based on supernatural powers,out of human control. It creates fear, death and terror for the readers. English author Horace Walpole introduced Gothic Novel in 1764. He wrote his novel " The Castle Of Otranto"
