Derailed Summary- Story starts with Raina. Raina is in her balcony.She looks out at shining stars.The scenery is very beautiful outside.At the same time her mother Catherine enters and Suggest Raina to sleep.Raina describes about stars and moon.Catherine tells that our Army has won the battlefield.This is the incident of 1880 war between Serbia and Bulgaria.Sergius and major petkoff,both are fighting in this war.

 Catherine further tells that Surgius is the hero of the battlefield.Both Raina and Catherine are very happy with this news.Meanwhile Louka the maid servant of the family comes.Louka is very good and beautiful young gir. lshe wants to marry with Rich boy.Louka warns Raina to shut door and Windows, there may be fighting and firing in streets.Raina asks her to go back, she will shut, herself..Louka and Catherine come back.Raina is very romantic and happy with the news that her lover Sergius has won the battlefield.She takes Sergius photograph and starts praising his bravery.Sergius you are great,I can't become like you. She forgets to shut the door and window, and sleeps soundly by talking Sergius photograph.Then there was the sound of firing and fighting.She gets up and keep thinking that someone has come in her bedroom.when she looks back, surprise to see a man in dirty clothes behind her.The man takes her garments and warns her on his pistol point., not to cry otherwise he will kill her.

      Meanwhile Louka knocks the door and ask if anyone comes in her bedroom through window pipe further she says that an officer has come to check him.Raina hides that man behind the curtain and stand before the curtain and denies that nobody has come there.meanwhile Louka sees the pistol lying there.she the reality.

When officer goes back the man comes out of the curtain and tells each and every thing about his past.He tells that he is an officer in Swiss army.Further he says that he doesn't like to fight like others soldier. He disclose his name Bluntschli.Other soldiers don't know why they are fighting.He is not as brave as Surgius.he tells that he goes to battlefield with his chocolates not bullets in his gun.He tells about Sergius who was waving his sword like major beating drum.

Raina assures him not to worry as he has come in well-known rich family.Raina slowly falling in his love.Raina ask him to take rest until she calls her mother.Raina goes to call her mother. the man named Bluntschli was very tired . He slept on her bed . Now Raina and Catherine come and saw the man was sleeping.Both decided to help the man.In their presence, soldier gets up and want to talk something but Raina gives him chocolate box and calls him chocolate cream soldier in front of her mother..

Raina gives him her father's coat and ask him to run away anyhow.brcause he was not safe there.Man runs away.

ACT 2 After a few months, the war is over.major petkoff and sirgius came back home.The Whole family is very happy after war.Siergius doesn't love Raina deeply.In absence of Raina,he capture Louka.,as Louka very beautiful and charming young and proud lady, she wants to marry with Rich boy.Louka asks Sergius,if Sirgius can marry a poor girl like Louka.Siergius says,why not.but I am going to marry a boring girl Raina.Louka disclose Raina's affairs with Bluntschli.Both are flirting each other.

In between the Man Bluntschli comes to return the coat.Raina and Catherine identify him, meanwhile major petkoff also comes.He recognize the man,He introduce him to his family.Says he is the captain invite him for dinner.Raina is very happy.

Act3 Library scene- Raina and Bluntschli are discussing each other, meanwhile Sergius came and starts challenging and threatening the man, Disclose their affairs to all.And he blames that Raina and Catherine help him to run away.Raina also becomes angry and tells that he is flirting with Louka the maid servant of the family.Now Raina has no interest in Sirgius and Sergius has no interest in Raina. Raina wants to marry with Bluntschli and Sergius wants to marry with Louka.When parents come to know about their affairs , they were very happy because Bluntschli is Rich person having high rank. In country,
